The ultimate use of peptides as therapeutic compounds requires strategies to overcome degradation, rapid clearance and bioavailability issues. Controlled Release scientists know how to tackle these problems, hence holding the 5th Annual AUS-CRS Meeting with the 2011 Australian Peptide Conference at Hamilton Island (peptides.asnevents.com.au) is a fantastic opportunity for these two communities to come together, discuss problems and forge collaborations. Of course the full range of Controlled Release science in Australia will be presented at the meeting, but the opportunity to focus on peptide delivery adds an important and timely aspect to the AUS-CRS meeting.

Please join us at Hamilton Island on 21st-22nd October – for those of you extending your stay from the APC, we welcome new ideas and collaborations, for those that have attended past AUS-CRS conferences this meeting will be our best yet, and the setting for the conference will make the meeting all the more enjoyable. I look forward to seeing you there!
